9/10/2023 0 Comments Reme halo pros and consThe model my HVAC company will be using says that it is ozone free but, knowing next to zero about many of these topics, I don't know if it's just a selling gimmick or actually true. I've also seen that they (at least used to) emit ozone as part of their use. Some people have said that the rate at which air is circulating within an average home is not good enough/fast enough to make UV light worth it. The UV bulbs can be expensive, and do need to be replaced quite regularly to keep up the same level as initial install. We seem to be getting worse with allergies over the years where it would seem like a good idea to do this if it would help. as she often burns candles, opens the windows, etc. My wife would very much enjoy removing odors/smells from cooking/etc. It seems like, if I'm replacing all of these systems, now would be the time to try to install something like this but I've been finding mixed results around the web about whether or not they're worth it, mostly depending on the search terms being used. I was told it would help with in-house smells (like cooking/baking/etc.) as well as allergens, among other things, and I have often thought of individual air purifiers (but never gotten one) for these reasons. One of the add-ons in my quote from the HVAC company is to add a UV light air purifier to the system and I'm wondering if it is worth it?Īs with most products, the selling points seem great. I'm in the works of replacing my whole house AC and furnace with new systems.
